My Story
Ever wake up already tired, running on autopilot...taking care of everyone else, managing all the things, and collapsing into bed at night just to do it all over again?
That was me.
As women, we're often the ones holding everything together, the schedules, appointments, work, family, and somehow still expected to have energy left for our health, our happiness, and ourselves.
(No wonder we're exhausted.)
My career as a first responder added its own stress. My husband was also a first responder, working 24-hour shifts, which made some days even harder. Anyone who has a spouse who's a first responder or travels for work knows this. If something's going to happen, it's usually when they're working.
The thing is, I didn't realize I was stressed.
Doctors would tell me I was stressed, and I'd say, "I don't feel stressed." I certainly didn't think I had any more stress in my life than anyone else.
This went on for years.
I was just going through the motions of life, and it felt normal. It took me a long time to realize I'd gotten used to feeling that way.
I was exhausted but still going and going.
I had headaches.
My mind was constantly filled with schedules, to-do lists, and the next thing that needed to get done.
Vacations? Sitting around? I couldn't just sit and relax.
I thought it was simply my personality to keep going.
It wasn't.
I had become so used to running on autopilot that I didn't realize how much stress was driving my everyday life. The problem was, I didn't feel the way I thought stress was supposed to feel.
What I eventually realized was that stress doesn't always look the way we think it should.
Sometimes it looks like exhaustion.
Sometimes it looks like feeling overwhelmed even when nothing major seems wrong.
Sometimes it looks like being so used to pushing through that you don't even notice how much it's affecting you.
Looking back, I can see I was living in a state of chronic stress for years.
Little by little, it was affecting my body, my health, my energy, and even the way I moved through my days without me fully realizing it. Somewhere along the way, stress had become the thing running the show.
I realized something had to change.
Life wasn't stopping, and the responsibilities weren't going away. But I needed something that would help me manage stress in a way that worked for real life.
I know many women are struggling with the same things I went through.
That's why I created Actively Achieve™.
I wanted to create the kind of support I needed back then, before I understood how much stress was affecting me.
Something practical, realistic, and designed for real life.
Just simple tools, strategies, and small shifts that help women manage stress, build resilience, and start feeling like themselves again.
